Finally the day when I am writing my first blog post has come. I wanted to create a blog for a good few years now, but delayed it thinking that I am not ready and not feeling confident enough. But this year I finally decided to do it or to forget this idea at all. So here I am choosing what my first blog post should be…

I decided that I want to start with my classic waffles recipe that is one of my favorite things to make on those cozy weekend mornings. If you follow me on Instagram for a while now, you saw quite a few photos of these delicious goodies.

Golden, fluffy on the inside, crispy while still hot and melt-in-your-mouth – that is how I would describe them. Such a perfection while still warm and fresh out of the waffle iron. The batter is not very sweet, so you can add as many toppings as you want. I usually choose to eat them with homemade lemon curd, caramel sauce or maple syrup, as well as with homemade ice cream.
